Author Guidelines
Author Guidelines – De Generality Journal of Community Service
De Generality Journal of Community Service, published by Seutia Hukamaa Cendekia, is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes scientific articles from various disciplines applied in community service activities and other applied research. In addition, the journal publishes original scientific articles that are novel and have a transformative impact on society or other applied research outcomes.
The journal accepts manuscripts based on research or scientific reports, both qualitative and quantitative, in the fields of science, social sciences, religion, and community empowerment, under the following criteria:

The manuscript must be an original result of community service, has never been published, is not currently under consideration elsewhere, and does not contain elements of plagiarism.

The maximum allowed level of plagiarism is 30%.

Manuscripts must be written in Indonesian or English, consisting of 12–18 pages (including text, tables, figures, notes, references, and appendices intended for publication). Manuscripts must follow the De Generality template, using Times New Roman, font size 12, A4 paper size, margins: top 3 cm, bottom 2.5 cm, left 2.5 cm, right 2 cm, and 1.15 line spacing.

The manuscript should be structured in the following order: Title, Author’s Name (without academic titles), Author Affiliation (institution and email), Abstract, Keywords, Main Content, and References.

Titles must be concise and specific, not exceeding 15 words, and written in both Indonesian and English.

Include the author's name, institutional affiliation, and email address below the article title. Academic degrees should not be included.

The abstract must be written in both English and Indonesian, comprising 100–150 words, and include the background of the problem, objectives, implementation method, and results/conclusions. The abstract should be able to stand alone and should avoid references and uncommon or non-standard abbreviations.

Keywords should consist of 2–4 words or phrases reflecting the core content of the manuscript.

De Generality Journal only accepts electronic (online) submissions. Authors must log in before submitting their articles. Manuscripts should be submitted via the online system at: https://jurnal.seutiahukamaa.org/index.php/degenerality/index (click "Register").

The structure of the manuscript should consist of: Title, Author’s Name, Author’s Affiliation (institution and email), Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Objectives of the Activity, Conceptual Framework, Implementation Method and Execution, Results/Conclusions, References.

In-text citations typically include the author's last name, year of publication, and (optionally) page number. All cited works must appear in the Reference List at the end of the article and be listed alphabetically. All notes should appear as in-text citations (innote). The use of reference management tools such as Mendeley or Zotero is strongly recommended, using the American Psychological Association (APA) 6th Edition citation style.

The Reference List should be in alphabetical order, including: author name, year of publication, title of the book/journal/magazine (italicized), city of publication, and publisher name. The reference list should consist primarily (at least 60%) of journal articles or related scientific research from the last 5 years, with a minimum of 15 references.

All manuscripts submitted will undergo a blind review process by peer reviewers after an initial editorial screening. Accepted manuscripts will be edited by the editorial team without altering the substance.
